Based off of period accounts, and extant texts in relation to period equipment, this saw cover and belt is produced in an exact manner, copying every element of the original specifications. Regardless of the size, or style, we will produce a cover, and belt, meeting all of your needs. Befitting any 18th century French, German, American, or British pioneer, this reproduction is created using vegetable tanned leather, and dyed with the highest quality of professional oil dyes, sealed, or finished to your liking; natural leather is oil treated, and then sealed using a period dubbin (wax) recipe. Further, all hardware consists of forged iron buckles, matching extant examples, to ensure the highest levels of accuracy.

To this end, customers will be required to send us a series of images, along with a measuring tape, or ruler, against the item, as to permit us to obtain the scale necessary, to create your custom item. Please ensure that you include your email at the point of checking out, so that we may communicate with you, and obtain your images, and measurements, to ensure a proper fit.

All items are sold as is and are produced on a per order basis; each work is a custom piece and reproduced (where applicable) by hand and using period materials as close as possible to the original materials used in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. All items may be subject to a delay and currently each item will require one to two weeks to produce and ship from our workshop, unless otherwise noted. Please note, the tool itself is not included, we must state this, as to ensure that it is clear, that this is produced according to your specifications, for your specific tool.

This item is made to order and will be ready in less than four to five weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.
