We are pleased to offer you a unique and rare reproduction and historically accurate 18th century powder mask. These powder masks are painstakingly reproduced through the use of period images and examples, with the strictest standards for materials and finishes. Our powder masks are made for regular use and we encourage our clients to freely use them as part of their historical beauty routines. Powder masks, such as the one that we have for offer, are used to protect the face of a woman, or man, while applying powder to the hair or wig, while atop their head. These masks would ensure that the wearer would keep their makeup clean, as well as their attire, owing to the mess that period hair powder could create.
This item would be wonderfully paired with our powder bellows, which will be released in the coming weeks. This powder mask would be an excellent addition to any historian or historical reenactor and living historian's collection, being a unique, though incredibly beautiful and practical piece of 18th century history and opulence.
This item is made to order and will be ready in less than one to two weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.
All items are sold as is and are produced on a per order basis; each work is a custom piece and reproduced (where applicable) by hand and using period materials as close as possible to the original materials used in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. All items may be subject to a delay and currently each item will require one to two weeks to produce and ship from our workshop, unless otherwise noted. All bespoke modern and historical clothing and items are dependent upon the measurements provided by you, the buyer and we cannot take responsibility for mishitting items as a result of improperly provided measurements and associated requirements.
