18th Century Reproduction Pottle Basket - Pottles

Most often used for the sale of small fruits, and berries, pottle baskets (or pottles) were the most common means through which an individual would purchase such produce. While a customer would take the pottle basket away with them, they would leave a small deposit with the merchant, being put towards the next pottle, or to cover the cost of the purchase. These pottles would have been purchased in bulk by the merchant, or made by them at home. Pottles are an excellent means through which a person may carry their fruits in a period correct manner, as well as a means through which you may create your own historical impression. Please note, these pottles are being offered on a highly limited basis, once they are sold out, we may not have any more for sale. Should others be listed for sale, they will be in a very limited basis and may not be available until next spring.

When purchasing, please take a look at the images of the pottles and select the specific pottle that you would like to receive (you will be receiving that specific pottle, as these are all hand made by me on a one-off basis).

All items are sold as is and are produced on a per order basis; each work is a custom piece and reproduced (where applicable) by hand and using period materials as close as possible to the original materials used in the 17^th, 18^th and 19^th centuries. All items may be subject to a delay and currently each item will require one to two weeks to produce and ship from our workshop, unless otherwise noted.

This item is made to order and will be ready in less than one to two weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.

All bespoke modern and historical clothing and items are dependent upon the measurements provided by you, the buyer and we cannot take responsibility for ill-fitting items as a result of improperly provided measurements and associated requirements. Custom fitting appointments are available in person and virtually, for those who require them and where applicable; please contact us as to arrange such an appointment.
