I am quite pleased to offer you this reproduction of a 1761 map of Fort Niagara, as it roughly would have appeared at the end of the French and Indian War / Seven Years War and the American Revolution; a highly detailed and extremely unique map. This map is sufficiently detailed to permit the owner to view the smallest details of the terrain and of the fortifications, the shore and its defensive works. A significant site for the protection of the Great Lakes, as well as refugees and the Indian Department, as well as a staging point for British expeditions into the United States, this is an extremely useful map for many historic impressions.

Serving as both an accurate reference tool and as a collector's item, this map is an incredible addition to any collection and serves endless uses to both living historians and educators. It is important to note that this map has been backed onto osnaburg linen, permitting the owner to fold the map delicately (as the map is extremely fine) and in a period manner for travel and use by its owner, as well as military and government officials. Such maps were commonly available and the original map being reproduced was specifically backed and folded in this manner and to these exact dimensions.

This item is made to order and will be ready in less than two to three weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.

This wonderfully reproduced map comes to you on period high linen content paper, laid upon osnaburg linen, as would have been the case for travel maps of the period, suitable for collectors, historians and those with a passion for cartography. As with all maps of this nature, we must note that there are numerous imperfections, as noted below, reflecting the character of the original printing. Please note that all documents and source material are free of copyright claims and are strictly based on such material.

All documents may suffer from blemishes, textual issues, pictorial degradation and associated imagery issues as may be the case, as the documents are exact reproductions of the original source material and accordingly, contain all original blemishes and imperfections, both as a matter of necessity and in some cases, to preserve the original appearance and nature of the documents as they would have been produced and sold. We hold no claim over exclusive intellectual property rights over the associated material, herein and rely upon the Berne Convention and associated international agreements for free use of said material. Further, please note that certain images may have the addition of a border, or areas that include a background, as the original images may be too degraded to remove this effect and must be reproduced with such appearances as to permit the preservation and distribution of these valuable and historic texts. All documents are sold as is and are produced on a per order basis and sold as is, with no refunds applicable; each work is a custom piece and reproduced by hand and using period materials as closes as possible to the original materials used in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
