This is an extremely unique and highly detailed reproduction of an 18th Century handkerchief intended to be worn by men and women as a regular clothing accessory, but also usable as a game board for 18th Century gaming and gambling. Reproduced on pure white cotton and hand rolled (the edges have been finished and sewn, all by hand), this item has been reproduced using a series of extant images as to permit the item to be as accurately reconstructed as possible, as to permit the wearer, or gamer/gambler to have an item as close as possible to the original.

As you will see in the images area within this listing, an original still exists in the Colonial Williamsburg Collection. As this has been completely restored by myself, you won't find anything else quite like this, anywhere else!

This handkerchief comes in two colours, blue and red and can be made in any other period colour upon request. It measures approximately 22" x 18.5". This would be an absolutely perfect addition to the collection of any living historian, reenactor, collector or 18th century tavern keeper. Being produced completely by myself, I have been able to keep the price both low and accessible to the general market, as I would love to see this item put into regular use, as you'll see, the kids also love it! Gaming pieces are not included, though you would require a marker per person of any sort, it can be anything from a rock to a pearl, as well as two dice.

This item is made to order and will be ready in less than one to two weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.

All items are sold as is and are produced on a per order basis; each work is a custom piece and reproduced (where applicable) by hand and using period materials as close as possible to the original materials used in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. All items may be subject to a delay and currently each item will require one to two weeks to produce and ship from our workshop, unless otherwise noted. All bespoke modern and historical clothing and items are dependent upon the measurements provided by you, the buyer and we cannot take responsibility for mishitting items as a result of improperly provided measurements and associated requirements.
