We are excited to present you with this work, entitled "Instructions for Cutting Out Apparel for the Poor". This hand crafted reproduction serves as a powerful resource in the search for historic patterns and clothing for fashion historians, reenactors and costumers. This text has been reproduced with highly detailed patterns on period paper, appropriate for use in the reconstruction of period clothing. The plates have been lovingly traced for clarity and quality (and will not come with the watermark as shown in the photo).

We must be clear that this is not a later view of period clothing, but rather, an original 18th century text with period patterns, instructions and resources. This is perhaps one of the best resources now made available in the quest to reproduce the fashions of the 18th century, but unlike other text, this focuses on the rarely discussed average man, woman and child.

This item is made to order and will be ready in less than one to two weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.

This wonderfully reproduced book comes to you on period laid linen paper, hand bound with linen thread, suitable for collectors, historians and those with a passion for classic literature and antique books. As with all books of this nature, we must note that there are numerous imperfections, as noted below, reflecting the character of the original printing. Please note that all documents and source material are free of copyright claims and are strictly based on such material. All documents may suffer from blemishes, textual issues, pictorial degradation and associated imagery issues as may be the case, as the documents are exact reproductions of the original source material and accordingly, contain all original blemishes and imperfections, both as a matter of necessity and in some cases, to preserve the original appearance and nature of the documents as they would have been produced and sold. We hold no claim over exclusive intellectual property rights over the associated material, herein and rely upon the Berne Convention and associated international agreements for free use of said material. Further, please note that certain images may have the addition of a border, or areas that include a background, as the original images may be too degraded to remove this effect and must be reproduced with such appearances as to permit the preservation and distribution of these valuable and historic texts. All document are sold as is and are produced on a per order basis; each work is a custom piece and reproduced by hand and using period materials as closes as possible to the original materials used in the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. All items may be subject to a delay and currently each item will require one to two weeks to produce and ship from our workshop. Please contact us for special requests, specific items that you might have in mind and other such requirements that we might be able to assist you with.
