18th Century Wool Mittens

Based upon the work of Diderot and surviving mid to late 18th century accounts of military woollen mittens, these mittens have been produced using the most recent research, noted within my mitten pattern also available within my store at https://tccunha.ca/products/18th-century-wool-mitten-pattern.

These mittens are hand sewn inside and out, using nothing linen thread and documented varieties of wool for both their exterior shell and interior lining. Often produced in the same colour and material as that of British Regimental facings, the mittens are available in numerous colours upon request. If there is a specific colour that you require, send us a message and we would be glad to assist you in finding a suitable material. I currently have forest green, crimson red or beige (with the lining being pieces from a wool blanket) available at the moment. Let me know which colour and size you would like at checkout (sizing is Small/Medium or Large/Extra Large).

All items are sold as is and are produced on a per order basis; each work is a custom piece and reproduced (where applicable) by hand and using period materials as close as possible to the original materials used in the 17^th, 18^th and 19^th centuries. All items may be subject to a delay and currently each item will require one to two weeks to produce and ship from our workshop, unless otherwise noted.

This item is made to order and will be ready in less than one to two weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.

All bespoke modern and historical clothing and items are dependent upon the measurements provided by you, the buyer and we cannot take responsibility for mishitting items as a result of improperly provided measurements and associated requirements.
