Entitled "A Strange Report of Sixe most notorious VVitches" this small pamphlet first printed in 1601 under the reign of King James, provides the reader with a further glimpse of the era and its beliefs and practices as it pertains to the occult. While this is a rather unique and interesting text from that perspective, it also shares a deep and disturbing view of the persecution and troubles facing people who would have mistakenly have been believed to be witches and their torments.
Though printed in the English language, the text itself deals with cases pertaining to "Germanie", or rather the Germanic states of the Holy Roman Empire during the early 17th century, showing how despite distances, that practices and beliefs in relation to witchcraft were widespread and common.
