I am pleased to offer you this hand bound reproduction and addition to one of our previous work entitled "Supplement de L'Art de la Coeffure des Dames Francoises", being an addition to the French 1768 text entitled "L'Art de la Coeffure des Dames Francoises".
Written entirely in French, this exquisite text provides us with details on both the tools used and the manner in which to style a woman's hair in the most popular and fashionable styles available within France during the year of 1768. This addition, or rather supplement, provides us with even more period images on period hair styling, accessories and fashions of the era. This text includes eight highly detailed and fully reproduced fold out plates, as well as not one, but forty one colourful and fully detailed images detailing the styling of the hair in question, as well as the necessary accessories. Despite being in French, the colourful images (reproduced here, in full colour) alone are worth having as to permit a reenactor, living historian, or fashion disciple to recreate these period looks, appropriate for the late 1760s to the mid 1770s for a British, or colonial woman. We highly recommend this text for the images alone and if you are skilled enough to be able to read French, the instructions are absolutely marvellous and useful in the course of recreating these period fashions.
This item is made to order and will be ready in less than one to two weeks (usually sooner) from the order date.
